    Re: Player of the Year

I think it will be a close vote on POY. There are at least 3 players who really stand out in my mind, not saying any names. And each, in his own right, could probably make a good case as to why they should have the award.

How many of Miles' yards were straight up the gut? Probably none. IMO, if a RB can't run up the middle occasionally, they're not a true RB.

    Re: Player of the Year

That is laughable Wave10s. All running backs have different styles. In that Jet Sweep offense the wingbacks aren't supposed to run up the middle that is for the back that lines up behind the qb.

Thats the best post you've ever made wave10s.

In all honesty Parks deserves player of the year. He is the best player on the best team in the district. 1500 yards is very impressive to me especially when everyone you play knows that 80% of the time you are going to run the ball. Although I would love to see Kenny receive the award, Parks is the more derserving candidate.

I would love to see Dotson get it too, but Clintwood finished 5-5, while Parks and Gate City are 8-2 and still playing.

A yard is a yard, no matter how you get it.

Thats just plain ignorant to say Miles istn as good as so and so just because he doesnt run up the gut every single time.

    Re: Player of the Year

Burton had a share of the LPD title and Miles was the main cog in their offense. He's stepped it up and led Burton to a 9-1 season so that's pretty deserving

    Re: Player of the Year

Parks should win it cause GC won the LPD and his numbers are comparable to Miles. If Miles had enourmously better numbers then I'd say Miles but he doesn't.
